The short version
- 01Record whether the error coincided with a network switch or disconnection.
- 02Reconnect to the intended Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
- 03Keep the intended connection stable while retrying the same address.
- 04Verify that a form action has not already completed before approving any resubmission.
- 05Compare another browser if errors repeat without an intentional network change.
- 06Use the shared Chrome connection procedure or ask the administrator to investigate repeated connection changes.
Raw message
ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED
Likely causes
- The device disconnects while Chrome loads the page.
- The device joins another network during the page request.
Compare the error time with the network change
Google describes a device disconnected from its network or connected to a new network while loading. Our first record is whether the error coincided with an intentional switch. Reconnect to the intended path, keep it stable and retry the same URL.
Check a submitted action before repeating the request
Our recommendation is to preserve visible form input and check whether an order or account change completed before resubmitting. A lost response does not establish that the action failed. The related cache-miss guide explains this distinction using HTTP's non-idempotent retry guidance.
Investigate repeated changes without an intentional switch
If the error repeats, our recommendation is to compare another browser and record whether other apps also lose connectivity. Use Google's shared connection guide for the browser branch, or give the repeated timing to the network administrator. The code does not identify which adapter or network service changed the path.
