The short version
- 01Check whether other experiences still load — if they do, this is a creator ban.
- 02Stop troubleshooting: reinstalling and clearing app data cannot affect it.
- 03Read the wording — banned from an experience, not kicked or lost connection.
- 04Contact the creator by Roblox message, community wall, or their social links.
- 05Use Roblox’s appeals process instead if the whole platform is refusing you.
- 06Expect no refund: creators cannot return Robux or money for purchases.

Roblox did not ban you, and Roblox cannot unban you
Error 267 means the creator of that particular experience has banned your account from it. Roblox states plainly that the ban is not issued by Roblox, that you can still use every other experience and feature on the platform, and that Roblox Support is unable to remove bans issued by experience creators or contact them on your behalf. That last part is the one worth absorbing: there is no support ticket that fixes this. The only route is the creator, and they are under no obligation to answer.
Applies to: Roblox on every platform. A creator ban applies to your account rather than your device, so it follows you to any computer, console or phone you sign in on.
What are you actually seeing?
This is the error people most often misread, because it appears mid-play and looks like a technical fault. It is not one. Nothing is broken, nothing needs reinstalling, and no amount of clearing app data will change it — which is exactly what most advice online will have you do first. Separating a creator ban from a Roblox moderation action, and both from an ordinary connection drop, takes one look at the wording.

Check the policy1. The ban came from the creator, not from Roblox
Roblox’s wording is unambiguous: error code 267 indicates your account has been banned by the experience creator for violating Roblox Community Standards within their experience. And then the sentence that matters most — this ban is not issued by Roblox.
Roblox adds the reassuring half too: you can still access other experiences and features on the platform. That is the quickest confirmation you have read the situation correctly. If the rest of Roblox works normally and only one experience refuses you, this is a creator ban and nothing is wrong with your account, your device or your connection.
Experience creators can ban players from their own experience, and they set their own thresholds for doing so. The ban is enforced against your Roblox account rather than your machine, which is why signing in on a different device, reinstalling, or clearing app data changes nothing at all.
The most useful thing this page can tell you is therefore a negative one: stop troubleshooting. Every technical step you might take is aimed at a problem you do not have.
If other experiences load normally, the platform is fine. There is nothing on your device to fix.
2. Error 600 is the same thing with a different number
Roblox publishes a separate article for error code 600, and its text is word for word the same as 267’s: your account has been banned by the experience creator for violating Roblox Community Standards within their experience, the ban is not issued by Roblox, and you can still access other experiences and features.
Both codes appear on Roblox’s own error codes index, listed separately, which is why people reasonably assume they must differ. They do not, in any way that affects what you can do about it.
So if you are comparing advice for 267 against advice for 600 and finding them contradictory, the contradiction is in the advice rather than in the codes. Treat them as one situation.
This is worth knowing in a household with more than one player, too. Two children seeing two different numbers for the same event will each conclude they have a different problem, and neither will find anything useful by searching their own number.
3. What this is not: the connection codes
The codes most often confused with this one are 268 and 277, and telling them apart takes a second once you know the wording.
Error 268 says you have been kicked due to unexpected client behavior. That phrasing sounds like an accusation of cheating, which is why it gets mistaken for a ban, but Roblox describes it as a network connection issue between the client and its servers. Error 277 says the connection to the game server was lost. Both are connection problems with a real technical fix.
Error 267 and 600 say banned from an experience. There is no ambiguity in that wording, and no technical fix behind it.
The behavioural difference is just as clear. A connection error is intermittent — you get back in, then get dropped again, and it happens across different experiences. A creator ban is absolute and specific: that one experience refuses you every time, immediately, while everything else works.
“Banned from an experience”
A creator ban. Nothing to fix; section 4 is the only route.
“Lost connection” or “kicked”
A connection error. Reinstall, clear app data, try another network.
4. Reaching the creator, which is the only route there is
Roblox is explicit that Roblox Support is unable to remove bans issued directly by experience creators, or to contact them for you. Opening a support ticket will not produce a different answer, and it is worth saving the time.
Roblox’s own next step is to contact the experience creator directly, and it names three ways you can often reach them: sending a message or chatting on Roblox; posting on their community wall, if one is available; and using any social media links they share on their profile, their community, or the experience’s details page.
Manage expectations before you start. Creators are under no obligation to respond, many run experiences with very large player counts and no capacity to handle appeals, and some have no contact route at all. A polite, brief, specific message asking what happened has a better chance than a long one.
It is also worth reading the experience’s own rules if it publishes any, since a creator ban is issued for something that happened inside their experience. Knowing which rule was involved makes a message far more likely to get a useful reply than asking why you were banned with no context.
5. When it is Roblox after all
There is a different situation that looks similar and has a completely different remedy, so it is worth checking which you are in. A Roblox moderation action against your account is issued by Roblox rather than a creator, and it can be appealed.
The distinguishing test is the one from section 1. A creator ban leaves the rest of the platform working — Roblox says so directly. A Roblox account action does not: you will find yourself unable to use Roblox generally, rather than blocked from one experience.
If the whole platform is refusing you, the route is Roblox’s own appeals process for content and account moderation rather than contacting any creator. That process exists precisely because Roblox-issued actions are Roblox’s to review.
Getting this the wrong way round wastes real time in both directions: appealing to Roblox about a creator ban produces a refusal, and messaging a creator about a platform-wide action produces nothing at all.
6. Robux, purchases and what you will not get back
If you spent Robux inside the experience that banned you, Roblox addresses this on the same page and the answer is not encouraging: Roblox Creators cannot provide Robux or monetary refunds for purchases made on the Roblox platform.
So a ban from an experience you have spent money in does not come with a route to recovering that spend, and asking the creator for a refund is asking for something they are not able to give. It is worth knowing before writing the message, because a request framed around a refund is less likely to get a reply than one asking about the ban itself.
This is also a reasonable thing to explain to a child in advance rather than in the moment. Purchases inside an experience are tied to that experience continuing to let you in, and that decision belongs to its creator.
If you reach the end of all this without a resolution, the honest summary is that creator bans are final unless the creator chooses otherwise. The rest of Roblox remains available, which Roblox states explicitly, and that is the practical outcome to plan around.
Frequently asked questions
What does Roblox error code 267 mean?
That the creator of that experience has banned your account from it for violating Roblox Community Standards within their experience. Roblox states the ban is not issued by Roblox, and that you can still access every other experience and feature on the platform.
Can Roblox Support remove a 267 ban?
No. Roblox states that Support is unable to remove bans issued directly by experience creators, or to contact them on your behalf. Opening a ticket will not change the outcome. The only route is contacting the creator yourself.
Is error 600 different from 267?
No. Roblox publishes a separate article for 600, but its wording is identical to 267’s — banned by the experience creator, not issued by Roblox, rest of the platform still available. Treat them as the same situation.
Will reinstalling Roblox fix error 267?
No. The ban applies to your account rather than your device, so it follows you to any computer, console or phone you sign in on. Reinstalling, clearing app data and changing network are all aimed at connection errors like 268 and 277, not at this.
How do I contact a Roblox experience creator?
Roblox names three routes: sending a message or chatting on Roblox, posting on their community wall if one is available, and using any social media links they share on their profile, community or the experience’s details page. They are not obliged to reply.
Can I get my Robux back if I am banned from an experience?
No. Roblox states that Creators cannot provide Robux or monetary refunds for purchases made on the platform. A ban from an experience you have spent Robux in does not come with a route to recovering that spend.
